We have also been accepted to carry out works to Section 38 and Section 278 as specialist material contractors

With a work force of up to 25 members having over 85 years of experience within the industry bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to all our customers. Our team hold various NVQ Qualifications in plant operation and have Construction Skills Certificate Scheme (CSCS) in Health and Safety and are working towards 100% Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) certification, as well as key members being First Aiders and also holding specific industry safety passports for working on the Humber Bank and associated specialist areas.
Our plant includes a Bitelli 650 Paver and Bitelli 632 Paver, which incorporate sonic leveling equipment allowing leveling accuracy to ± 3-6mm, Bomag 120 and 80 rollers, all of our equipment is regularly maintained to ensure current standards are being met. All works are carried out professionally and in accordance with BS4987: 2001 Part 2, BS594 and BS EN 12591: 2001 and also carry a fully inclusive guarantee. We are also working proactively towards becoming ISO 9001 quality approved.

Company history
Originally known as East Coast Surfacing, the company was formed in 1995 as a partnership between Jim Huxford and Ken Drant, who both came together through the Macadam surfacing industry. In 2002, East Coast Surfacing became incorporated as Huxford & Drant Ltd, retaining the established trading name of East Coast Surfacing. The company is now known as EC Surfacing and has grown from strength to strength to become the first choice for companies and individuals in need of surfacing. We take immense pride in every project we undertake and will always maintain the highest standards of construction. Our commitment to service has meant that we have been commissioned by various local authorities, schools, universities, health authorities, hospitals and both commercial and residential developers throughout Yorkshire and the Humber and all of Lincolnshire.
